Top 10 most hospitable cities and Top 5 most hospitable regions in Vietnam in 2025

From the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An to the tranquil beaches of Kien Giang, these destinations continue to make their mark with authentic local character and exceptional service.

The Top 10 cities and Top 5 most hospitable regions in Vietnam have just been announced as part of the 13th Traveller Review Awards 2025 by Booking.com. Accordingly, this year, Hoi An leads the ranking of the most hospitable cities in Vietnam, and Kien Giang is honored as the most hospitable region, followed by Ninh Binh and Quang Nam in second and third place.

Top 10 cities   most hospitable in Vietnam

As travel demand increasingly shifts towards authentic, personal experiences and local connections , hospitality continues to play a pivotal role in creating a memorable journey.

Based on over 360 million authentic reviews from global travelers, the Traveller Review Awards recognize and honor partners who consistently maintain excellent service quality and contribute to elevating the travel experience. In 2025, 13,003 accommodation partners in Vietnam were honored through this award for their hospitality and service that exceeds expectations.

To be eligible for the ranking, each destination must have a minimum of 50 eligible accommodation establishments. The ranking is calculated based on the ratio of award-winning establishments to the total number of accommodation establishments in the locality.

As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hoi An has been voted the Most Hospitable City in Vietnam for the second consecutive year. With its well-preserved ancient architecture, distinctive lantern streets and unique cultural exchange, Hoi An always leaves a deep impression on visitors.

Ninh Binh ranked second with its majestic limestone mountains and unique cultural depth. Meanwhile, Ha Giang impressed with its rugged terrain and rich ethnic identity – an ideal destination for those who love adventure travel.

Phong Nha , home to one of the world's largest cave systems, and Con Dao , a pristine island renowned for its unspoiled natural beauty, also receive high marks for their quality of service and hospitality.

The remaining cities on the list, such as Cao Bang, Phu Quoc, Cat Ba, Sa Pa and Ha Long, continue to demonstrate the diversity of travel experiences in Vietnam, from idyllic highlands to famous coastlines.

Top 5 most hospitable regions in Vietnam

In addition to the list of hospitable cities, Booking.com also announced the Top 5 most hospitable regions in Vietnam in 2025. These destinations are not only notable for their rich natural landscapes, from limestone mountains, terraced fields to peaceful coastlines, but also for the friendliness and hospitality of the local community.

To qualify for the ranking, each region must have a minimum of 200 eligible accommodations. Rankings are determined based on the percentage of award-winning establishments compared to the total number of establishments in the region.

This year’s honored regions reflect the geographical diversity and cultural depth of Vietnam’s tourism. Kien Giang, home to the famous Phu Quoc Island, leads the rankings with its pristine beaches, lush rainforests and peaceful resort atmosphere. Further affirming its growing appeal, Kien Giang was also named by Booking.com as one of the Top 10 Most Hospitable Regions in the World in 2025.

Ninh Binh ranked second with its beautiful scenery and unique historical values. Quang Nam ranked third, standing out with its typical cultural relics (including Hoi An ancient town) and clear blue beaches.

Ha Giang and Lao Cai, with their majestic mountainous terrain and unique cultural identity, continue to affirm their reputation as ideal destinations for tourists who love nature and exploring indigenous culture.
