Accordingly, in the teacher recruitment plan for the 2025-2026 school year, for affiliated high schools, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will recruit 671 teachers . Of which:

Region 1 (old Ho Chi Minh City) 460 teachers.
Region 2 (former Binh Duong province) 157 teachers.
Region 3 (former Ba Ria-Vung Tau) 54 teachers.

For public service units under the People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones, the Department of Education and Training has compiled recruitment needs based on the number of employees allocated to public schools and the recruitment needs are 5,726 teachers . Of which, preschool level is 615 teachers, primary school 2,040, secondary school 3,071. Specifically:

Region 1 needs to recruit 3,089 teachers.
Region 2 (former Binh Duong province) recruits 1,990 teachers.
Region 3 (former Ba Ria - Vung Tau ) is recruiting 647 teachers.

The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City stipulates the conditions for registering to take the teacher recruitment exam as follows: People who meet the following conditions regardless of ethnicity, gender, social class, belief, or religion can register to take the civil servant recruitment exam:

Have Vietnamese nationality and reside in Vietnam;
18 years of age or older;
Have application form;
Have a clear background;
Have diplomas and training certificates appropriate to the job position applied for;
Physically fit to perform the job or duties;
Meet other conditions as required by the job position as determined by the public service unit but must not be contrary to the provisions of law.

During the recruitment process, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City said that priority will be given to recruiting civil servants in the following cases:

Armed Forces Heroes, Labor Heroes, war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B: 7.5 points added to the round 2 score results.
Ethnic minorities, military officers, police officers, demobilized professional soldiers, people working in secretarial work who have changed their profession, graduates of reserve officer training, graduates of training for commanders of commune-level military commands of grassroots military branches who have been awarded the rank of reserve officer and have registered for the reserve officer category, children of martyrs, children of wounded soldiers, children of sick soldiers, children of people enjoying the same policies as wounded soldiers, children of type B wounded soldiers, biological children of resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals, children of Heroes of the Armed Forces, children of Heroes of Labor: 5 points will be added to the results of round 2.
People who have completed military service, public security service, or youth volunteer team members: 2.5 points will be added to the second round score.
Union officials who grew up at the grassroots level, in the workers' movement: 1.5 points added to the results of round 2.
