Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the admission scores for specialized and integrated grade 10. Up to now, schools have completed receiving admission applications for specialized and integrated grade 10.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, 98,681 candidates registered for the 10th grade entrance exam this year in Ho Chi Minh City. The candidates completed the exam on June 6 and 7 and learned their exam scores on June 19.

According to statistics on the 10th grade entrance exam scores in 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City, foreign language is the subject with the best score among the three exam subjects, with 1,707 candidates scoring 10, and 14,732 candidates scoring from 9 to 9.75.

In math, the most controversial subject of the recent exam, with many saying that the questions were long and difficult, 49 candidates scored 10. Although literature did not have a 10, the number of exams with below average scores was the lowest among the three subjects.

Admission scores for grade 10 are calculated as follows:

Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + priority and incentive points (if any).

The Department only considers candidates who are eligible to take the entrance exam, have taken all required exams, have not violated entrance exam regulations, and have not scored 0 on any exam.

The Department of Education and Training said that after the department announces the benchmark scores for regular grade 10 and the list of candidates admitted to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year, from July 4 to August 1, 2024, candidates admitted to regular grade 10 will submit their admission application to the high school they were admitted to. If the candidate does not submit their admission application, the school will remove their name from the admission list.

After high schools receive applications for grade 10 admission, the department will review the situation and decide on the second round of additional recruitment.
