Ho Chi Minh City will conduct surprise inspections of the implementation of Project 06 at agencies and units.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a plan to inspect the implementation of tasks in the Project on developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the 2022-2025 period, with a vision to 2030 (Project 06) in the city in 2024.

The plan aims to raise awareness among leaders, cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces and people in Ho Chi Minh City about the meaning and importance of implementing the tasks of Project 06.

At the same time, objectively and comprehensively evaluate the results of implementing the tasks in Project 06 to promptly urge and guide agencies and units to carry out assigned tasks to ensure effective implementation, as well as propose solutions to overcome limitations and shortcomings in the implementation of Project 06.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will establish an inspection team headed by the leader of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department as the deputy head; members are leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors. The working group will conduct direct inspections or conduct surprise inspections at the units.

The plan requires that the inspection must be accurate, objective, and not hinder the normal operations of the inspected agencies and units. The inspection is conducted on a thematic basis to accurately assess the direction and management of departments, branches, and units of districts, towns, and Thu Duc City for each specific task and target.

The inspection process must be carried out in accordance with regulations and procedures, with focus and key points, and at the same time, must point out shortcomings, limitations and record shortcomings. From there, promptly advise leaders at all levels to direct the implementation of the goal of developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication in accordance with practical requirements.

The delegation will inspect the direction, management and implementation of Project 06; the inspection and supervision of implementation at the unit. At the same time, inspect the coordination of relevant departments and branches in collecting population data, issuing personal identification, resolving residence and issuing CCCD for special population cases.

The delegation also inspected the cleaning of specialized data; digitized records, reused administrative procedure settlement results; updated information and records of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers on the software.
