On the morning of July 18, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Van Hieu chaired a meeting to provide additional information on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam in Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, the whole city has 84,046 candidates taking the high school graduation exam in 2024, including 74,581 high school candidates, 9,465 continuing education candidates and independent candidates.
According to the results announced by the Ministry of Education and Training on July 17, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City has a high school graduation rate of 99.68%.
Compared with 2023 and 2022, this rate is 0.02% higher than in 2023 and 0.16% higher than in 2022.
The analysis of the high school graduation exam scores shows that Ho Chi Minh City has the highest percentage of students achieving the highest average score in English in the country. This is the 8th year that Ho Chi Minh City has held the leading position in the high school graduation exam scores in English.
In addition, Math also has the third highest average score in the country.
For the 2024 high school graduation exam, Ho Chi Minh City will organize 162 exam sites. The city has mobilized 11,796 exam supervisors and nearly 3,300 officers and employees to provide services at the exam sites.
