When it first aired, Heart Rescue Station received a warm welcome from the audience. The film brought together a famous cast: People's Artist Thu Ha, Meritorious Artist Pham Cuong, "screen goddess" Hong Diem, Quang Su, Thuy Diem...
However, only 1/3 of the way through the film, many viewers were clamoring to change the script, even quit watching the film because of the actors' acting as well as the film's absurd and incomprehensible details.
How long will the female lead endure?
According to the movie script, Ngan Ha (Hong Diem) is a rich young lady. Although her mother is cold towards her, she is still loved by her father. She has a husband who pampers her, a mother-in-law who loves her like a daughter. However, one day, Ha realizes that her husband of many years is taking advantage of her, using her as a tool to take revenge on her father. Not only that, he also has a girlfriend and a son.
After being used and abandoned by her husband, her father in jail, and her company gone, Ha suddenly woke up. Unlike other weak girls, Ha coldly and proudly walked out of the marriage, declaring that she would stand up and fight to get her father's company back and would not let those who trampled on her be at peace.
The female main character was criticized for being illogical and unattractive.
Ngan Ha's attitude in the first episodes made the audience excited. People hoped that she would shed the image of a weak lady and become a strong, determined woman to regain justice for herself and her loved ones.
However, all the audience received was disappointment. After many episodes, after those bold declarations, Ngan Ha made the audience bored with her half-hearted, passive attitude. The development in this character's psychology was too slow, creating a feeling of fatigue and boredom for the audience.
Normally, when the villains reveal themselves, it is time for the good guys to “transform” and fight to regain what they have lost. The battle between the two sides will be very exciting, but the script of Heart Rescue Station is not like that. It drags on from episode to episode.
The current Ngân Hà has not changed at all compared to when she first entered the film. She is still the kind girl who is submissive and passive in everything, letting her ex-husband and his lover trample on her over and over again.
Not only was the script and acting criticized, the character Ngan Ha's appearance was also not impressive, not exuding the luxurious, stylish beauty of a rich young lady that the script had built.
Right from the beginning of the film, Hong Diem’s bangs did not create a youthful, innocent effect, but made her be criticized as “trying to look younger”. In particular, her chubby face also made Ngan Ha look “older” and less classy compared to the actress’s previous characters.
My Dinh staged the kidnapping of baby Gon, causing the shrimp pond lawsuit to be "reversed".
The female supporting character is so annoyingly rude.
Another female character who received a lot of negative reactions from the audience because of her superficial and unreasonable character development is My Dinh (Thuy Diem). My Dinh is over 30 years old, has a broken marriage but has no specific job. She always appears with a high-pitched voice, ready to fight and raise her voice at everyone.
Not only was it rude, My Dinh also surprised the audience by kidnapping baby Gon to force Nghia and his lover to withdraw from the shrimp pond lawsuit. It is hard to understand that a 30-year-old girl would kidnap a child so innocently, considering it a game, without thinking about the legal consequences.
With the act of kidnapping baby Gon, My Dinh forced her friend to stop in the life-and-death lawsuit with her ex-husband. However, when being scolded a few times, this character even shouted: "I'd rather be in jail than have my friend ask: What did you do that for?"
Some audiences jokingly said that if watching scenes with the character Ngan Ha made them frustrated, then when the character My Dinh appeared, it made them "excited".
The character My Dinh always appears in scenes of partying, vandalizing and talking loudly to others.
A series of absurd and silly details
The movie Heart Rescue Station is receiving negative reactions from many viewers because of the legal details that are constructed in a very naive, superficial and easy way.
Many viewers believe that negative phenomena in today's society are still numerous, even at a more serious level than the events reflected in the film. However, the way the scriptwriter and director of Heart Rescue Station constructs the details gives the audience a very uncomfortable feeling.
An Nhien is just a psychologist. However, she can easily manipulate doctors and nurses, turning them into effective assistants to serve her personal purposes.
In episode 33 of Heart Rescue Station , An Nhien asked the doctor to fake the information that she was pregnant with just one phone call. She even asked the doctor to help her fool her husband by saying that she was 12 weeks pregnant with a daughter.
Then when her mother-in-law discovered her fake pregnancy, she made up a story about a miscarriage. The incident would have been fine if the movie hadn't shown her lying on a hospital bed and a doctor comforting her husband that, because she had just lost a child, her mood would be unstable.
Or like before, during the IVF process, Ngan Ha's ex-husband somehow manipulated a team of doctors to turn her from a normal woman into someone who was unable to have children, even after several attempts of artificial insemination.
We all know that IVF is a very complicated medical procedure, and only a few top hospitals can do it. In the movie, Ngan Ha and her husband are both wealthy people, with the desire to have children, they will definitely find a really reputable place to do it. However, there is not a single detail in the movie that helps the audience know how her husband was able to easily turn the doctor here into his lying accomplice.
Doctors falsifying medical records and changing patient information to deceive others is not only a loss of medical ethics but also a serious violation of the law. However, the film does not clearly show by what means the characters in the film can force doctors and nurses to not only once, but many times to assist in their deceitful behavior. Viewers have the feeling that with just a phone call to arrange, they can easily get what they want. And that is what makes the audience uncomfortable.
The detail of My Dinh staging the kidnapping of baby Gon is considered redundant, unreasonable and disregarding the law.
In addition to building boring, bland and illogical characters, the film also makes the audience frustrated because of unrealistic and long-winded details. The shrimp pond lawsuit lasted for many episodes, continuously appearing unacceptable details that hindered the deliberation process: an important witness had a stomachache so he was late, My Dinh staged a kidnapping of the defendant's son to make him... "stop playing tricks".
Up to now, on forums related to the film, most of the audience expressed their indignation because they thought that the director and screenwriter were deliberately "smearing" the script, regardless of the audience's feelings. It is not by chance that many viewers affirmed that they felt frustrated and uncomfortable when watching the film, even though it was introduced as a "healing film".
