As one of the first 10 localities selected by the Ministry of Education and Training for the pilot program, Lang Son has implemented a digital citizenship skills education program for primary school students with positive results.
This program is harmoniously integrated by the Lang Son education sector when attached to a number of suitable contents such as: Teaching information technology; Integrating digital citizenship skills education in subjects; Teaching and enhancing digital citizenship skills education content; Organizing digital citizenship skills education clubs...
The smart classroom model is promoted, focusing on personalizing the learning experience, helping students to be inspired to explore, encouraged to be creative, and maximize their abilities.

Accordingly, students are introduced to electronic devices early, participate more and are more proactive in lessons that apply digital technology. Thanks to that, many students show enthusiasm in learning, demonstrate more creativity in the digital space, and are increasingly confident in approaching new things.
At Chi Lang Primary School (Luong Van Tri Ward, Lang Son Province), the school is equipped with basic information technology equipment, with 2 cameras, more than 30 classrooms equipped with projectors, televisions, and a computer room ensuring the computer system is connected to the network and has software features to serve learning.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Huong, Principal of the school, said: The school pays great attention to propaganda work to raise awareness of teachers and parents about the role of digital citizenship education in forming and developing students' capacity and qualities.
“Close coordination with families is very important to help guide students in using technology and ensuring access to information,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Huong emphasized.

For Tam Gia 1 Primary and Secondary School (Khuat Xa commune, Lang Son province), although the students are mainly from difficult family circumstances and have limited access to information technology, the teaching staff here are still very determined and make efforts to implement digital citizenship skills education for students.
The school established the Robotis Club under the leadership of an IT teacher, with the regular participation of more than 30 students, from which the activity spread to every class in the whole school.
Mr. Vi Van Hiep, Principal of the school, said: “By being exposed to new things, students are inspired to explore and create, and broaden their knowledge. From such enthusiasm, students will gradually improve their necessary skills and abilities.”
According to the Department of Education and Training of Lang Son, digital citizenship education at primary level is extremely important: Equipping students with skills to use technology and communication safely and properly; helping students develop multidimensional thinking and necessary creative skills in the digital age, forming an understanding of safety, network security, ethical standards in the digital environment, protecting themselves and respecting others, while avoiding risks and dangers in cyberspace.
