Attending the ceremony were Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Party Central Committee members, alternate members of the Party Central Committee and leaders of central and local departments, ministries, branches and agencies.
Speaking at the award ceremony, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia congratulated the award winners and requested central and local agencies and organizations to thoroughly grasp the Party and State's guidelines on border work and national territorial sovereignty in the new situation in the spirit of the 13th National Party Congress; ensure unity in leadership and direction to effectively coordinate forces in propaganda work on border demarcation and border management; and link propaganda content on territorial borders with the implementation of political tasks of sectors, levels, localities and units.
Continue to innovate methods of foreign information dissemination to promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam internationally, especially information on economic , cultural, social development and security in border areas. Continue to promote the success of the contest "Proud of a border strip" to promote the role of artistic orientation, create space, encourage artists to create and promote works of art. Promote the combined strength of forces in propaganda work on national borders and territories.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia requested to pay special attention to grasping the ideological situation among the people in order to have appropriate propaganda measures, promptly and effectively combating wrong views and activities that take advantage of the border, territory, and religion to sabotage the great national unity bloc and the good traditional relationship between Vietnam and neighboring countries; building a force to do propaganda work on national borders and territories with a strong political stance, deep understanding of border and territory work, in which the most important are the team of village elders, village chiefs, prestigious people in the border community and officers and soldiers of border posts - the force directly responsible for preserving and protecting the territory and building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed border.
After three times of organization, the National Art Photography Contest "Pride of a Border" has affirmed its identity, attractiveness and prestige, with wide influence among all classes of people.
The Award Council honored 22 of the best works of this year's Competition, including: 2 gold prizes, 4 silver prizes, 6 bronze prizes and 10 consolation prizes; selected 128 works to organize an Exhibition to introduce to the public across the country, the Vietnamese community abroad and international friends.
