Award ceremony and opening of the exhibition "Vietnam through the lens of international photographers"

VHO - On the afternoon of September 10, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Hue City to organize the award ceremony and opening of the exhibition "Vietnam through the lens of international photographers". This is an event within the framework of the 3rd Vietnam International Photography Festival.

The 3rd Vietnam International Photography Festival is one of the main activities of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025. The event was impressively "launched" with an international photo exchange and creation program in May 2025 in Hue city, with the participation of 30 Vietnamese and international photography artists.

The main activity of the 3rd Vietnam International Photography Festival - Hue 2025 is the photo exhibition "Vietnam through the lens of international photographers" (3rd time). The Organizing Committee received 6,076 works from 415 authors from 16 countries.

The Art Council established by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism selected 200 works by 133 authors to display at the exhibition. Of these, 20 works by 20 authors were awarded the Equal Prize.

The exhibition takes place from September 10 to September 20 at Diem Phung Thi Art Center (No. 17 Le Loi, Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City); and is also introduced on the website of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition.

Speaking at the program, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong emphasized: The 3rd Vietnam International Photography Festival - Hue 2025 is a special art event, aiming to build a "national brand" for Vietnamese photography; contributing to promoting beautiful images of the country and people of Vietnam, enhancing international exchange and cooperation through photography activities. At the same time, contributing to enriching the photo collection for Hue, serving to promote Hue culture and tourism.

The awarded and exhibited works are beautiful photos of Vietnam's land and people, bringing deep feelings about the nature, land, people and culture of Vietnam.

Leaders of Hue City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition presented awards to the authors.

Thereby, contributing to promoting and introducing tangible and intangible cultural values, resources and unique tourism products of Vietnam in general and Hue city in particular, aiming to attract domestic and international tourists to Vietnam, to Hue city; contributing to tourism development, socio -economy in the following years.

This is also an opportunity for international and Vietnamese photographers to exchange and introduce their artistic creations.

According to Deputy Minister Ho An Phong, the Vietnamese photography industry has made significant contributions to the aesthetic life of the people, promoted the image of Vietnam to the world, and promoted the development of cultural industries.

Hue is a locality with great potential for development, especially in the fields of tourism and cultural industry. Hue being chosen as the National Tourism Year 2025 and becoming a centrally-governed city has created favorable conditions for the city's breakthrough.

Vietnam International Photography Festival (VIPF) is an international photography activity, held every two years in the province/city hosting the National Tourism Year.

At this exhibition, visitors will admire excellent photographic works through spaces with two themes: "Vietnam through the lens of international photographers"; "Hue - Ancient capital, new opportunities".
