Awarding Nguyen Duc Canh scholarships in 2025 to 300 students

On the morning of July 27, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCMC) organized a program to award Nguyen Duc Canh city-level scholarships in 2025 to 300 students who are children of workers and union members in difficult circumstances and have made efforts to excel in their studies.

Attending were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, Permanent Vice President of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan, President of Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor.

Ms. Thai Thu Xuong awarded scholarships to encourage students to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies.

The total value of scholarships awarded in the program is more than 630 million VND, each scholarship includes 1 million VND in cash, 1 health check voucher and 1 gift, total value of more than 2.1 million VND/scholarship.

According to Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, this is one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), and the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025).

The Nguyen Duc Canh scholarship program, implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union, is a typical activity in caring for workers' children, contributing to conveying the message to students to continue competing, achieving high academic achievements, daring to dream, striving to realize, contributing talents, contributing with the country to enter an era of strong and prosperous development.

Within the framework of the program, the leaders of the Labor Federation also presented 240 gifts to female workers in difficult circumstances , each gift including 500,000 VND in cash, 1 voucher for a general health check-up and 1 gift, worth 2.1 million VND/gift.

At the same time, 900 gifts were given to union members and disadvantaged workers, each gift including 1 million VND in cash, 1 health check voucher and 1 gift, total value 2.1 million VND/gift.
