(DN) - The Department of Science and Technology has just issued Document No. 1704/SoKHCN-QLCL dated June 24, 2025 to corporations, general companies, telecommunications enterprises, and related departments and branches on the implementation of technical solutions to support the consolidation of the use of the 1022 number and the 115 emergency number in Dong Nai province (after the arrangement of administrative units).

Accordingly, in order to ensure continuous management and operation and effective implementation of coordination in receiving, processing and responding to information on Portal 1022, emergency number 115 in Dong Nai province (after rearranging administrative units), the Department of Science and Technology proposes that telecommunications number 1022 (not using local area codes: 0251, 0271) be the unified telecommunications number to receive all calls (mobile, landline), messages (SMS) reflecting and recommending people in the two provinces of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc from 0:00 on July 1, 2025.

The Department also requested that corporations, general companies, and telecommunications enterprises (fixed, mobile) direct and assign branches and affiliated units operating in Dong Nai province to be the leading units, coordinating with branches and affiliated units operating in Binh Phuoc province to deploy the setup and routing of all calls (mobile, fixed), messages of feedback and recommendations from people in Binh Phuoc province to the telecommunications number 1022 of the existing 1022 switchboard system of Dong Nai province.

Emergency number 115 (not using local area codes: 0251, 0271) is a unified telecommunications number to receive all calls (mobile, landline) and urgent medical requests from people in the two provinces of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc from 0:00 on July 1, 2025.
