Ma Lu Thang Border Gate Administrative Center officially operates

This morning (January 1, 2025), the Management Board of Lai Chau Provincial Economic Zone organized the inauguration of the Center for receiving and handling administrative procedures at Ma Lu Thang International Border Gate (Phong Tho district) to promote administrative procedure reform, gradually build digital border gates and smart border gates at the border gate.

Implementing the regulations of Ma Lu Thang International Border Gate and in order to prepare well for upgrading Ma Lu Thang - Kim Thuy Ha Border Gate to an international border gate pair; promoting the development of border trade economy, creating favorable conditions for customs clearance of goods, the Management Board of Lai Chau Economic Zone has focused on building infrastructure, arranging areas for receiving and handling administrative procedures, thereby forming a Center for receiving and handling administrative procedures concentrated at Ma Lu Thang International Border Gate.

Mr. Vu Huy Hoa - Head of the Lai Chau Economic Zone Management Board emphasized: Putting the Ma Lu Thang International Border Gate Administrative Procedure Reception and Resolution Center into operation will not only create favorable conditions for organizations and individuals in handling import and export procedures, but also for officials, civil servants and public employees in the Economic Zone Management Board, it will also aim for a professional, modern, effective and civilized way of working, towards cutting down administrative procedures, building digital border gates, improving the effectiveness of State management, creating changes in promoting reform of administrative procedures related to import and export activities at the border gates.

Thus, from January 1, 2025, the Ma Lu Thang International Border Gate Administrative Procedure Reception and Resolution Center will officially operate with 5 functional forces including: Ma Lu Thang Border Gate Customs Branch; International Health Quarantine Department; Lai Chau Plant Quarantine Station; Animal Quarantine Department; Vietnam - China International Vehicle Transport Licensing Department. These departments will receive and resolve centralized administrative procedures for organizations and individuals related to import and export activities at Ma Lu Thang Border Gate.

In order for organizations and individuals to grasp information and coordinate implementation, previously, on December 23, 2024, the Lai Chau Provincial Economic Zone Management Board announced the settlement of centralized administrative procedures at Ma Lu Thang International Border Gate and publicly announced the hotline number for support, resolving arising issues or reflecting recommendations...

The operation of the Ma Lu Thang International Border Gate Administrative Procedure Reception and Resolution Center demonstrates the efforts and determination of Lai Chau province and the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board in promoting administrative reform, attracting investment and building the Ma Lu Thang - Kim Thuy Ha Border Gate pair to become increasingly prosperous.
