In her welcome speech, Dr. Dinh Vu Trang Ngan, President of Fulbright University Vietnam, expressed her gratitude to the 2025-2029 school year and emphasized: “Decoding” is the core of Fulbright’s mission - understanding the world, embracing complexity and discovering true passion; while “Shaping” is the journey of creating development, learning and self-discovery to create each student’s own mark.

As the keynote speaker of the ceremony, Mr. Henry Nguyen shared three sincere lessons for the new generation of students: Courage - daring to choose bold paths to open up new opportunities; Faith - being steadfast in core values and finding strength from family and community; Compassion - nurturing empathy, respecting differences and using knowledge to create a better society.

On the threshold of their university journey, the new students of the 2025-2029 school year are excited, full of expectations, and ready to embark on a new journey to deeply discover themselves.

Quynh Mai shared that in the age of information overload, young people easily feel confused among countless different viewpoints. Therefore, "Decoding" to find the true value that suits them, and "Shaping" to live a purposeful and meaningful life becomes important. For Mai, Fulbright University Vietnam is the place to accompany the young generation of students to find their answers, thereby contributing to the community, the country and the world.
Also at the ceremony, Le Thi Hai Ha, the recipient of the HV Foundation Impact Scholarship, could not hide her excitement at starting a new journey. Ha shared that the liberal arts education program at Fulbright - with its interdisciplinary learning opportunities and the opportunity to explore many fields - has opened up a broader vision for the future for her.
“I plan to research and combine culture, mind and technology to contribute to building a prosperous Vietnam while still maintaining its own identity,” Ha said.
