According to the report, in 2024, the total revenue of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade will reach 1,008.8 billion VND, officially bringing the school into the group of universities with revenue of over a trillion.

It is expected that by 2025, total revenue will continue to increase to 1,136.6 billion VND. Of which, 80% of revenue comes from tuition fees, the remaining 20% ​​from scientific research, technology transfer and other service revenues.

Lowest PhD salary policy 40 million/month

Notably, in order to attract and retain high-quality human resources, especially PhDs, from September 1, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade will apply a policy to ensure a minimum income of 40 million VND/month for lecturers with PhDs. If the actual income is below this threshold, the school will multiply the coefficient to compensate.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan, Principal of the school, said that currently the highest income of a PhD in the school reaches 85.2 million VND/month, approaching the 100 million VND mark.
