Talking to VietNamNet reporter, Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Head of the school's Training Department, said that in addition to direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the remaining methods will be included in the general admission form.

Accordingly, the results of the transcript, high school graduation exam scores and capacity assessment test scores (organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University) will be converted to a common scale, with different proportions for each component.

Currently, the school is applying four admission methods: direct admission, review of academic records, review of graduation exam scores and review of competency assessment scores. When the new plan is implemented, independent admission by each method will end.

"After the Ministry of Education and Training has a plan, the school will develop a 2026 enrollment plan, which will also include a way to consider admission for candidates who do not take the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam," said Mr. Nhan.

In Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology is also using a comprehensive admission model that includes criteria on academic performance, personal achievements and social activities. In which, the academic performance is calculated based on the results of 3 years of high school, graduation exam scores and capacity assessment scores.
