Dong Cuong Primary and Secondary School implements Vietnamese language teaching for ethnic minority children before entering grade 1

In preparation for the new school year 2025 - 2026, Dong Cuong Primary and Secondary School has organized free Vietnamese language teaching for 74 ethnic minority children (mainly Dao and Tay ethnic groups) preparing to enter grade 1. The children are divided into 3 classes, studying for 30 periods, lasting until August 22.

Ethnic minority students are introduced to Vietnamese before the new school year.

This completely free program aims to prepare the mind, create interest in learning, form basic learning skills, Vietnamese language ability and communication and social behavior skills for ethnic minority students. The activity also mobilizes coordination between schools, families and communities in enhancing Vietnamese language for children in ethnic minority areas.

Children are introduced to the first strokes of letters.

To ensure the effectiveness of the curriculum, the school has prepared adequate facilities, teaching aids and arranged appropriate teachers. The Board of Directors will regularly inspect, evaluate and promptly reward groups and individuals who complete their tasks well.

Teaching Vietnamese for free before entering first grade is considered an important preparation step, contributing to improving the quality of primary education and creating a premise for ethnic minority students to study effectively from the first days of school.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Dong Cuong Primary and Secondary School has 32 classes, including 19 primary classes and 13 secondary classes with a total of 1,154 students. The school enrolls 113 first graders, of which 74 are ethnic minorities. In preparation for the new 2025-2026 school year, the school has been arranging existing facilities and teaching equipment, preparing conditions to implement 2 sessions/day for secondary school.
