Tua Chua: Nearly 90% of families have access to clean water for daily use.

The report of the People's Committee of Tua Chua district shows that: In the district, there are currently 114 domestic water works; including 4 clean water works and 110 centralized water supply works invested by the State. In recent years, from many investment funds from the Central and local budgets, Tua Chua district has invested in building centralized water supply works at the commune level, self-flowing water supply; supporting water tanks and tanks at the household level...

In the 2021-2024 period, the district invested in building 5 new small-scale projects with simple filtration technology; the main input water sources are underground water and spring water. As of December 31, 2024, nearly 90% of households in Tua Chua district have access to hygienic water; 14% of households have access to clean water that meets standards, the rest are using natural water sources. Through inspection, the district has 87 effective projects, 3 ineffective projects and 24 inactive projects.

However, the protection of water resources in communes and towns still has many limitations; some concentrated rural water supply works have degraded and are operating at an average level; some works are currently not operating due to water resources being depleted or degraded; management work is still limited and facing many difficulties...

At the working session, members of the monitoring team requested agencies, units, communes and towns to clarify a number of contents related to management work; maintenance and repair plans for works; coordination in demarcating areas to protect water resources, etc.

The monitoring team acknowledged the efforts of the locality and water supply unit in ensuring clean water for the people. The monitoring team requested Tua Chua district to continue to supplement and analyze the data clarified at the working session to complete the report; proactively review and liquidate ineffective or no longer operating projects... The recommendations and proposals of the locality will be received and compiled by the monitoring team to submit to relevant units./.
