Opening the Congress, comrade Tran Hai Phuong - Secretary of the PTSC Youth Union emphasized that the 5th Congress of PTSC Youth Union is an important political event, representing the youth of the Corporation. In an energetic atmosphere, PTSC youth were called upon to ignite the fire of aspiration, innovation and action; promote the spirit of "One team, one goal", dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility. With the courage, intelligence and core values of PTSC "Proactive - Trustworthy - Sustainable - Cooperative", PTSC Youth Union entered the new term with confidence and determination, accompanying the sustainable development of the Corporation.
The summary of the period 2022-2025 shows that the Youth Union and youth movement at PTSC have closely followed political tasks and achieved many comprehensive results. PTSC Youth have implemented 132 youth projects and tasks, hundreds of initiatives have been applied to production, including the national typical project "Design and manufacture of PSV Testbench safety valve testing equipment". Volunteer movements have spread strongly, typically "Spring Volunteer", "Summer Volunteer Campaign", "Charity Lucky Money Envelopes"; contributed more than 4 billion VND to social security, donated 2,179 units of blood, built 41 community works.
Political education, tradition and social skills were focused on, thereby introducing 250 outstanding members to the Party, of which 120 comrades were honored to stand in the ranks of the Communist Party of Vietnam . PTSC Union also had many outstanding individuals honored by the Central Youth Union, the Government Youth Union and Petrovietnam with noble awards.
At the Congress, there was also an open and multi-dimensional discussion program from the Youth Union branches, focusing on key issues such as: the role of the Youth Union in green projects, renewable energy - a new trend of the energy industry; digital transformation and AI application in Youth Union activities and production and business; innovation in working methods, promoting practicality and efficiency, closely linked to the production and business tasks and development strategy of PTSC; improving the effectiveness of propaganda work, international integration, and building corporate culture.
In the open discussion, comrade Tran Ho Bac, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of PTSC directly participated with the Presidium, sent many profound messages and inspired the youth. He affirmed: "PTSC is determined to become a global brand in the energy sector, focusing on oil and gas technical services and offshore renewable energy. Although renewable energy and clean energy sometimes stagnate, it is still an inevitable trend." He emphasized that each organization, department and each union member must clearly understand the mission, focus on the core values, "optimize resources, focus on what the organization needs", to bring common values and practical benefits to each side.
According to the General Director of PTSC, youth union members - the young and core workforce - must be skilled, disciplined, ambitious, quick learners, creative, dedicated, persistent, and deeply involved in digital transformation, innovation, and ESG. To do this, young people need to practice lifelong learning habits, focus on the right areas they need, study thoroughly, and have a clear roadmap and goals.
He also mentioned the responsibility of leaders in guiding, guiding and leaving values for the next generation, because key projects such as wind power export, renewable energy centers, ships, FSO, FPSO... will be inherited by today's young generation. At the same time, PTSC General Director Tran Ho Bac emphasized that young people need to promote their creative strengths, coupled with safety discipline and quality standards, which are the foundations that help the Corporation be highly appreciated by customers.
Comrade Tran Ho Bac noted that the current context is changing rapidly, strongly, and unpredictably, posing very high demands. Therefore, the Youth Union needs to think carefully about its mission and select a smart, scientific, and methodical action program. He fondly repeated the saying "Don't ask what the Fatherland has done for you, but ask what you have done for the Fatherland today"; at the same time, he sent a message to young people: "Be a good person in the family, good at expertise, creative, ambitious, dedicated - if young people can do that, not only PTSC needs it but the country also needs it".
In his speech directing the Congress, comrade Phan Thanh Tung, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PTSC, pointed out that the country and the energy industry are changing rapidly, the pressure for growth and investment is increasing, challenges and opportunities are intertwined. PTSC Youth Union needs to accompany the organization, training according to the motto: "Understanding - Practicality - Intelligence - Skills", being physically strong, steadfast in character, and professionally sharp.
Representing the superior Youth Union, comrade Dinh Duc Manh - Deputy Secretary of Petrovietnam Youth Union, acknowledged and commended the outstanding achievements of PTSC youth, believing that PTSC Youth Union will continue to be a strong foundation, a pioneer in the youth movement of the entire Group.
The Congress conducted democratic elections in accordance with regulations. As a result, the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the PTSC Youth Union, Term V, consisting of 21 comrades, and at the same time elected a delegation to attend the 4th Congress of the Group's Youth Union, consisting of 11 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.
The Congress unanimously approved the Resolution for the 2025-2030 term, setting many specific goals: 100% of cadres, union members and the majority of youths will study and thoroughly understand the resolutions of the Party and the Union; deploy at least 2 youth projects at the Central level, 15 projects at the Block level, 50 projects at the Group level and 150 projects at the grassroots level; propose 400 initiatives and solutions to apply in studying, working and producing. In addition, the Congress also set specific targets on social security work, caring for union members and introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and admission. All targets are set in the determination to complete 100% of the tasks assigned by the Party Committee and the leaders of the Corporation.

The Executive Committee of PTSC Youth Union, Term V, was introduced to the Congress. Comrade Tran Hai Phuong was elected to hold the position of Secretary of PTSC Youth Union, Term V. The 5th Congress of PTSC Youth Union delegates was a great success. In the afternoon of the same day, PTSC Youth Union continued to organize a skills training program for union officials and youth union members. The training program equipped union members with practical skills to help improve their mettle and operational efficiency in the context of the nation's rising era.
