Death sentence for jealous man who brutally attacked his lover and love rival

According to the indictment, Phan Thanh Hoang and Ms. NTB (born 2003, Kim Phu commune, Tuyen Quang city) were in a love relationship. However, Hoang suspected that his girlfriend had other feelings for Mr. HXD (born 2001, from Phu Tho ) so he prepared weapons to find Ms. B. and Mr. D. to kill.

At about 8:30 p.m. on October 24, 2022, at a hair salon on Nguyen Gia Thieu Street (Tien An Ward, Bac Ninh City), Hoang used a knife to murder Ms. B.

Mr. D. tried to stop him, but Hoang used his left hand to grab Mr. D.'s shirt, causing him to fall to the floor. Then Hoang stabbed Mr. D. until his rival lay still.

Ms. B. ran out into the street and reached the front door of house number 274 Nguyen Gia Thieu when Hoang caught up with her. Although Ms. B. begged for her life, Hoang continued to stab her multiple times, causing her to fall to the sidewalk.

Not stopping there, Hoang threw the knife at the base of the tree and used the rake and scissors he got from the barber shop to brutally attack his lover and love rival.

Mr. D. and Ms. B. were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, but due to severe injuries, Ms. B. died, and Mr. D. suffered 60% injuries.
