University Admissions 2025: Major Universities Announce Input Quality Assurance Thresholds

For other admission methods, the Admissions Council of the units will convert and announce the threshold scores according to the current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi National University.

Hanoi National University requires units to base on the threshold to ensure input quality of Hanoi National University and the Ministry of Education and Training (for health and teacher training majors) to announce the threshold score by major and training program. Schools and affiliated units report to the Hanoi National University Admissions Steering Committee the threshold score by major and training program of the unit before July 21, 2025, and at the same time, publicly announce on the unit's electronic information page, Hanoi National University website and enter data into the professional page in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

For the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores, the predicted benchmark scores range from 19 to 27.8+, depending on the major. For the admission method using Thinking Assessment test scores, the predicted standard score is from 46.48-71.62 (100-point scale).

Pursuant to the general guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training and the 2025 High School Graduation Exam score distribution, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announces the score difference between admission groups using the High School Graduation Exam scores as follows:

For the combinations used for admission to the technical majors including A00, A01, A02, B00, D07, D26, D28, D29 and K01, there will be no deviation in scores. The combinations used for admission to the economic, education and foreign language majors including D01 and D04 also have no deviation in scores.

The difference in scores between the combinations used for admission to the technical group (A00, A01, A02, B00, D07, D26, D28, D29 and K01) and the combinations used for admission to the economic, education and foreign language groups (D01 and D04) is +0.5 points to the standard score when considering the same training program for the combinations A00, A01, A02, B00, D07, D26, D28, D29 and K01.
