After the match with U23 Yemen at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho ) tonight (September 9), Coach Kim Sang Sik said: "Regarding the last match, I planned to replace 3 players in the second half, but things did not go according to plan. Therefore, I was forced to make personnel adjustments in the first half."

“In the second half of the match, I also made some tactical changes and helped the U23 Vietnam team win,” coach Kim Sang Sik added.

In the U23 Asian qualifiers, U23 Vietnam often changed the starting lineup in each match, making it difficult for opponents and domestic fans to predict the starting lineup of coach Kim Sang Sik's team in each match.

After the 2026 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers, the Vietnam U23 players will return to their respective clubs to participate in the 2025-2026 V-League. It is expected that in November, Coach Kim Sang Sik's team will gather to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.

The final round of the U23 Asian Cup will take place in January 2026 in Saudi Arabia.
