The RECAF Ninh Thuan project was approved by the Prime Minister for investment proposal in Decision No. 1312/QD-TTg dated November 9, 2023 and the Provincial People's Council approved the investment policy in Resolution No. 58/NQ-HDND dated December 14, 2023. The project scale includes 3 components, expected to be implemented in 23 communes in the districts: Ninh Son, Bac Ai, Ninh Hai and Thuan Bac, with a total investment of 441,256 billion VND, including ODA loans, non-refundable aid, and counterpart funds from the state budget. The project's objective is to support the development and promotion of product value chains that do not cause deforestation, ensuring income from agricultural cultivation for people in the project area; new investment, upgrading and improving infrastructure for production, increasing the ability to respond to climate change and forest protection activities.

According to the Tam Nong Project Preparation Board Phase 2, the technical support consulting team has completed the survey and information collection at departments, branches, localities; current status, associated value chains, and number of beneficiaries. Regarding the infrastructure implementation, the steps of internal and external surveys, design drawings, estimates have been completed and the explanation step is underway.
Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized the importance of the project; requested the Tam Nong Project Preparation Board, Phase 2, together with the consulting unit group, to urgently review and synthesize all collected information, on that basis, to include in the feasibility study report all elements in terms of content, technique and comply with the prescribed order and procedures. At the same time, localities need to pay attention to re-evaluating the land situation in the area and taking advantage of pipelines from the Tan My irrigation system, proposing directions to support suitable crop and livestock varieties associated with the consumption market to create sustainable livelihoods for beneficiaries of the project. Develop a plan, determine the timeline and construction procedures for the works. Strive to complete the feasibility study report by early November this year to submit to competent authorities for consideration and approval.
