Provincial People's Committee works with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism

This morning, February 12, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province worked with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) on the key work program for 2025 of the DOCST sector and the plan to implement the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025-2035. Reporting at the meeting, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Minh Tuan said: In 2025, the industry will carry out key tasks: Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hai Lang district on March 19 (1975 - 2025); Celebrating the 118th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Le Duan on April 7 (1907-2025) and inaugurating the Memorial Site of General Secretary Le Duan; "National Unification" Festival celebrating the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification on April 30 (1975-2025), celebrating the 53rd anniversary of the liberation of Quang Tri province on May 1 (1972-2025) with many activities such as: the Unification Flag Raising Ceremony, the traditional boat racing competition, the "National Flag" art program, the "National Unification" Youth Camp...

Organizing propaganda to welcome party congresses at all levels and the 18th Quang Tri Provincial Party Congress; Quang Tri Provincial Family Festival in 2025; Mass art performance of the whole province with the theme "Flying up with the country"; Implementing procedures to build the National Museum Project "Memories of war and aspiration for peace "; The 66th National Marathon and Long-distance Championship of Tien Phong Newspaper in 2025...

At the same time, it is proposed to participate in activities organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism such as: Mass Art Performance "Songs Connecting Rivers" in the 6 North Central provinces in Thanh Hoa province; Mass Art Performance "Revolutionary Songs" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; 24th Vietnam Film Festival.

At the working session, leaders of departments, branches and sectors discussed and gave opinions on organizing propaganda activities, commemorating important holidays and events of the homeland and country, which need to be associated with promoting the image of the land and people of Quang Tri; clearly identifying the funding sources for the organization, in which it is necessary to pay attention to mobilizing social resources; focusing on organizing sports activities, mass art festivals towards the grassroots....

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam emphasized: 2025 is the year of party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress and many important events of the homeland and the country.

Therefore, propaganda and commemorative activities need to be organized in many practical, effective, focused and highlight-creating forms; ensuring inheritance, innovation, practicality, efficiency, economy, targeting many subjects; suitable to the nature, significance of the event and the actual conditions of the locality.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam basically agreed with the proposals of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the plan, time and scale of organizing the celebration of major holidays and important events in 2025.

Propose that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism study and propose a new time to organize the celebration of General Secretary Le Duan's birthday; develop a plan to organize activities to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, organize a flag-raising ceremony and the "National Flag" art program that is reasonable in terms of time to create a new and impressive highlight; maintain the scale of the traditional boat racing tournament as in previous years; work with Tien Phong Newspaper to unify the plan and method to organize the 66th Tien Phong Newspaper National Marathon and Long-Distance Championship in 2025.

For the provincial mass art performance with the theme "Flying up with the country", the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism works with localities to coordinate the organization to ensure quality, suitability with reality and meet the needs of enjoyment, improve the spiritual life of the people; focus on implementing procedures to build the National Museum Project "Memories of War and Aspiration for Peace"...

Propose that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism absorb the opinions of departments, branches and sectors and soon complete the plan to organize activities to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the homeland and country and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration.
