Memorial night for musician Nguyen Vu

Poet - musician Nguyen Huu Hong Minh received the news of musician Nguyen Vu's recent passing from music collector Phuong Chanh Hung. "Musician Nguyen Vu is a talented musician, a representative composer of Southern music and one of my dear and respected friends. I was also lucky enough to have his songs introduced on VTV3, VTV4 - Vietnam Television", he shared.

Remembering the memory of musician Nguyen Vu, poet Nguyen Huu Hong Minh confided: "I really liked and often sang the song Sad Hymn since I was a child, practicing learning the guitar and humming it. 'Do you remember that hymn?/ The Christmas we were together/ The sparkling stars in the sky were more beautiful than my eyes/ Your white shirt fluttered like an angel's wings/ Sweet lips kissing under the bell tower'... The lyrics of the song seem simple but are actually refined and haunting, as if they transcend space and time, and are interesting because you can observe and see them in any situation of life."

I told Nguyen Vu that I was very happy to meet him because since I was little I have sung his Sad Hymn . But for some reason, sad hymns and first love often go together like a pair of 'categories' that are hard to let go of,” poet Nguyen Huu Hong Minh recalled...

To commemorate musician Nguyen Vu - author of the famous song Sad Hymn, on Saturday night, September 27, the Timeless Stage will hold a memorial concert for him so that everyone can sing timeless love songs of this talented musician.
