The first monthly match of the fourth quarter of Road to Olympia 24 took place this afternoon and witnessed the dramatic competition of four climbers, including: Nguyen Trung Kien ( Thai Binh High School for the Gifted, Thai Binh), Tran Son Duy (Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, Hai Phong), Nguyen Lam Vu (Ly Tu Trong High School, Khanh Hoa) and Hua Hoang Phuoc (Hoang Le Kha High School for the Gifted, Tay Ninh).

Entering the first round - Warm-up, the four contestants showed equal strength. Lam Vu gained an advantage thanks to his quickness and intelligence, temporarily leading with 55 points. Hoang Phuoc had 50 points, Trung Kien 45 points, Duy Son 20 points.

The keyword to be searched for in this week's Obstacle Course consists of 9 letters. The first horizontal line chosen has the question: "Every infinite non-repeating decimal is the decimal representation of a number, that number is called…?" All four contestants scored points with the correct answer "Irrational".

As soon as the first image clue was revealed, Duy Son quickly pressed the bell to claim the right to answer the obstacle mystery. With the correct answer “Square root”, the Hai Phong male student took the lead with 90 points. Lam Vu got 65 points, Hoang Phuoc got 60 points, Trung Kien got 55 points.

Tran Son Duy was a contestant who entered the monthly round thanks to his ticket as the contestant with the second highest score of the week.

In the Acceleration round, Duy Son continued to maintain his form to score the most points. The remaining three contestants showed equal strength when they each got 50 more points. After four acceleration opportunities, Duy Son had 180 points, Lam Vu 115 points, Hoang Phuoc 110 points, Trung Kien 105 points.

Entering the decisive round - Finish line. Duy Son chose three questions with the same value of 20 - 20 - 20 points and chose Star of Hope in the second question. The Hai Phong male student scored points in the first two questions, finishing with 240 points. Lam Vu had the chance to answer the last question but did not score any points.

Hoang Phuoc chose questions worth 20 - 30 - 20 points. He correctly answered two questions worth 20 points, to finish with 150 points.

The two remaining contestants Trung Kien and Lam Vu failed to finish their race; giving Son Duy and Hoang Phuoc a chance to score more points.

In the final result, Tran Son Duy (Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, Hai Phong) excellently won the laurel wreath with 260 points. Hua Hoang Phuoc (Hoang Le Kha High School for the Gifted, Tay Ninh ) came in second with 140 points. Also in third place were Nguyen Lam Vu (Ly Tu Trong High School, Khanh Hoa) with 85 points and Nguyen Trung Kien (Thai Binh High School for the Gifted, Thai Binh) with 65 points.
