[Video] Salary reform must be associated with streamlining staff

On the afternoon of September 30, at a meeting with voters of Constituency No. 10 (Hanoi) before the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly, General Secretary To Lam said that in 2025, it is expected to complete 15/15 socio-economic development targets; budget revenue by the end of September has reached the yearly plan, reaching 2 quadrillion VND, possibly reaching 2.5 quadrillion VND for the first time.

Emphasizing the people-centered viewpoint, the General Secretary raised the requirement to adjust wage and social allowance policies; however, wage reform must be linked to streamlining the payroll on the basis of improving labor productivity, determining job positions according to the new organizational model, ensuring an increase in the living standards of wage earners and reducing regular expenditures.
Regarding health , implementing Resolution 72, strongly shifting to disease prevention, annual health check-ups, aiming to exempt and reduce hospital fees through expanding health insurance coverage, controlling alcohol, tobacco, pollution, and food safety.
Regarding education , research on universalizing high school, exempting tuition fees and ensuring enough schools and teachers.
