Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is one of the major policies of the Party and the State to help households with housing difficulties stabilize their lives. Therefore, Viet Tri city has focused on implementing the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the city by 2025.
Since the beginning of the year, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in the City has reviewed and compiled a list of households in need of new housing construction or repair, with priority given to eliminating temporary housing for people with revolutionary contributions and poor and near-poor households in the city. At the same time, additional households eligible for support in building and repairing temporary and dilapidated houses and other households with difficulties arising in the area with dilapidated and degraded houses needing support for new construction or repair in 2025 have been registered in all wards and communes in the area.
Through screening, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu's household in Thuy Van commune is one of 27 households that will receive support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.
According to statistics, in Viet Tri city, there are 27 households that are subject to temporary and dilapidated houses according to the province's standards, including 15 policy households and 12 poor and near-poor households (8 poor households, 4 near-poor households)... Accordingly, the City Fatherland Front Committee supports 12 poor and near-poor households with 760 million VND from the city's "For the Poor" fund. Support 15 policy households with 800 million VND from the city's "Repaying gratitude" fund.
As of March 7, 2025, construction of 3 houses has started (2 policy households; 1 poor and near-poor household), of which 2 houses have been handed over with a support amount of 100 million VND. For poor and near-poor households, 100% of households have registered the construction start time...
With the joint efforts of Party committees and authorities at all levels and the support of organizations, individuals and businesses, Viet Tri city is determined to completely eliminate these temporary houses before the second quarter of this year.
