The case of a boy living with his stepmother calling for help: The school said the child is safe.

(Dan Tri) - Regarding the incident that was said to be a "cry for help" from a child being abused by his stepmother that was shared all over social media, the school informed that the police had stepped in to verify.

A post containing several videos and pages of handwritten letters said to be a "cry for help" from a boy being abused by his stepmother has gone viral on social media.

In the “letter”, the child wrote that his stepmother forced him to bang his head against the wall or the safe, punch his temple, slap his face with a sandal, and hit him on the head with a phone or a comb. According to the letter, he was not fed enough, only had two half bowls of rice for each meal, sat at the table at night but was not allowed to study, had to stay up until 12am, was not allowed to turn on the air conditioner in the summer, and was not allowed to cover himself with a blanket in the winter…

Another letter said that the stepmother called the teacher to "slander" her grandchild, accusing her of stealing and badmouthing her to make her have a bad impression of the students.

Videos extracted from the camera posted with the above letter recorded a scene where a woman used a phone to hit a boy on the head, forced him to stand, face down on the table, not allowed him to sit on a chair and scolded him.

The incident is said to have occurred at Victoria Apartment, Kien Hung Ward, Hanoi .

Contacting the school - where the student is said to be studying - a school representative said they were aware of the online letter. However, the school confirmed: "The student has been living with his father since the beginning of this year. He goes to school normally, has not violated any discipline, and is in a happy mood."

The school said it could not comment further. Kien Hung Ward Police have stepped in to verify the contents of the letter.
