Female teacher 'chased' out of class by colleague: Principal disciplined

The Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien-Hue province found that Mr. Ngo Duc Thuc, Principal of Hai Ba Trung High School, was directly involved in this incident. At the same time, the Department of Education and Training Inspectorate discovered that Mr. Thuc also had a number of violations and shortcomings in the management and operation of the school's financial revenue and expenditure.

Based on regulations, the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien-Hue province decided to issue a disciplinary warning to Mr. Ngo Duc Thuc.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 2, the Disciplinary Council of Hai Ba Trung High School also decided to reprimand Mr. Nguyen Duc Phong, head of the national defense physical education group at Hai Ba Trung High School. Mr. Phong was the one who used his hands and words to "chase" Ms. Ho Thi Tam (literature teacher) out of the class, in front of the students.

This disciplinary decision was implemented yesterday afternoon (November 2), chaired by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa Phuong, Vice Principal of Hai Ba Trung High School.

Speaking to Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, Ms. Ho Thi Tam (the teacher who was "chased" out of class by her male colleague) confirmed the above information, and affirmed that she would not be subject to any form of disciplinary action. "After the incident that caused a stir in public opinion, I just want to regain my honor," Ms. Tam said.

Previously, in October 2022, a clip appeared on social media, attracting attention, recording a scene where a male teacher pushed Ms. Tam out of the classroom with his hand, saying "Get out!".

At the time of the incident, there were many students and 3 teachers in the classroom, including Mr. Nguyen Duc Phong (the person who pushed the female teacher out), Ms. Ho Thi Tam (the person who was pushed out) and Ms. D. (homeroom teacher).

The cause was determined, previously some students and parents of this class complained about changing teachers because they thought that Ms. Tam's teaching method made it difficult for students to understand. Therefore, during the class meeting, when the homeroom teacher was absent, Ms. Tam came to ask the students about the reason (requesting to change teachers), then a commotion broke out.

At this time, Mr. Phong was sent by the Board of Directors to resolve and console. However, the incident escalated and led to Mr. Phong "chasing" Ms. Tam out of the class.
