The wild orchid garden of Mr. Tong Xuan Vinh, Director of Thien Nhan Orchid Cooperative, Tan Lap Commune, Bac Tan Uyen District, Binh Duong Province currently has nearly 20 species of wild orchids.

The wild orchid garden is the heart and soul of Mr. Vinh after more than 10 years of passion for wild orchids. During those 10 years, Mr. Vinh only grew wild orchids to satisfy his passion.

In 2018, Mr. Vinh started to make a living from mokara orchid cuttings. At the beginning of the pilot period, he did not dare to invest much because the cost was quite high, the planting scale was only about 1,000 mokara orchid plants.

Although the mokara orchid growing model still brought him a good income, by mid-2020, seeing the growing trend of wild orchids, he decided to take advantage of the old garden to switch to growing wild orchids.

Wild orchids have a very high survival instinct and many strange flowers with beautiful names such as Dendrobium orchid, Jade orchid, Phi Diep orchid, Narcissus orchid, Cymbidium orchid...

Mr. Vinh confided that the process of caring for a batch of wild orchids takes from 2 to 2.5 years. The first year, 1,000 wild orchid seedlings are imported, and 2 years later, 2,000 - 2,500 plants will be multiplied.

When he has achieved a certain quantity of wild orchids, he will sell them wholesale. Currently, his orchid garden is in the process of breeding and only sells retail.

If you are persistent in breeding wild orchids and are not in a hurry to recover your capital quickly, wild orchids will bring you a long-term source of income from just one import of seeds.

“Although the orchid garden of the family and members of the cooperative is currently in the process of breeding, many customers have come to buy directly and through social networks. However, the family only retails pots with beautiful flowers and stems...”, Mr. Vinh said.

To bring wild orchids to many customers across the country and at the same time build a stable market, Mr. Vinh has taken advantage of social networks to share his products.

The price of wild orchids in his garden as well as the cooperative members is the lowest at 150,000 VND/pot of 1-2 plants, the highest is from several million to several tens of million VND for a large orchid pot.

The cooperative also provides fertilizers, orchid care materials... for customers in need. According to Mr. Vinh, currently 80% of customers play orchids because of their beauty, and the cost is reasonable, while the price of mutated orchids ranging from hundreds of millions to billions is economic speculation.

In order to connect orchid lovers and make money from orchids, in June 2018, Mr. Vinh established the Bac Tan Uyen Orchid Club, of which he is the president.

At first, the club was only for members in the district. From 2020 until now, we have recruited more members from other places, but we have selected members who grow orchids with quality and share truly meaningful information.

In order for flower lovers to exchange and share their "brainchildren", the Club regularly organizes competitions to find unique wild orchid works to award prizes.

From the Club, by 2021, Thien Nhan Orchid Cooperative with 7 members was established, Mr. Vinh was elected as Director of the Cooperative.

Cooperatives gather members who share the same passion and interests to share experiences and develop the economy. In addition, by joining the cooperative, members have the opportunity to access preferential loans, which is the driving force for the cooperative to develop more and more strongly.
