Cam Lo Commune: Monkey attack causes 10-year-old child to be hospitalized

This morning, July 4, information from Cam Lo Commune Medical Center, Quang Tri province said that the unit had just received a patient bitten by a monkey.

The patient is BTNQ, 10 years old, residing in Dak Lak province. Q. was admitted to the surgical department of Cam Lo Commune Medical Center with injuries to his head and buttocks.

Before that, Q. and his family from Dak Lak province went to visit relatives in Doc Kinh village, Cam Lo commune (Cua region). At about 9:00 a.m. on July 3, they went to Rao Vinh stream to play. On the way, they encountered a monkey fish standing on the side of the road that suddenly rushed in and continuously bit Q.'s head and buttocks, causing him to fall to the ground.

Immediately after chasing away the monkey, the family quickly took Q. to the emergency room in a state of bleeding in many places on the body.

According to local people, there have been no monkeys in Rao Vinh stream recently, so the monkey attack on people has left people confused because they do not know where the monkey came from.

Talking to reporters, the leader of Cam Lo - Dong Ha Forest Protection Department said that the unit has received information about monkeys attacking people in Cam Lo commune and has sent forces to quickly check and verify to organize a siege to avoid people being attacked and injured by monkeys.
