Thanh Tri Commune: Ready to be on duty to protect dykes and flood prevention works

HNP - On the morning of October 2, leaders of the People's Committee, the Civil Defense Command, and the Youth Union members of Thanh Tri commune promptly participated in rescue operations, ready to protect dikes, flood prevention and control works, and ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

Due to the impact of storm No. 10, heavy rain appeared in Thanh Tri commune, the Red River rose, affecting many crop areas and people's lives.

At 8:30 p.m. on October 1, in the areas of villages 1, 2, 3, Cuong Ngo, Dong Tri, the alert level was raised to level I.

Faced with that situation, implementing Flood Warning Order No. 46/L-BCH dated October 1, 2025 of the Hanoi City Civil Defense Command, on the morning of October 2, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Thanh Tri commune quickly deployed the "4 on-site" motto; arranged forces to control areas at risk of landslides and flooding; proactively diverted traffic, prepared vehicles and materials to be ready to handle incidents. Schools were required to reinforce facilities, trim trees, and temporarily suspend extracurricular activities to ensure safety.

Forces urgently reinforce key points

The radio station, the commune's electronic information portal and the Thanh Tri fan page are continuously updated and instructed to reinforce houses, barns, harvest agricultural products, and strengthen the banks of aquaculture ponds. Forces are on duty 24/7 at the headquarters and key locations, ready to evacuate people when necessary.
