Develop a plan to implement compensation and site clearance for highway projects through Dong Nai.

(DN) - On July 23, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha chaired a meeting with relevant units to listen to reports on the progress of compensation and site clearance for the following projects: Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway; expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway; Bien Hoa City's central axis road and Cai River road.

According to the Provincial Land Fund Development Center, the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Project is about 60km long. To implement the project, it will be necessary to reclaim land from more than 1,500 households. The Land Fund Development Center of the areas where the project passes through is coordinating with localities to carry out the work of measuring and mapping land reclamation.

With the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway Expansion Project belonging to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway route, according to the Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC), the total land area that needs to be recovered in Dong Nai province to implement the project is more than 4 hectares.

Regarding the Bien Hoa city central axis road and Cai riverside road projects, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the projects have been started for many years, but the site clearance work has not been completed yet, affecting the construction progress. In particular, the Bien Hoa city central axis road project still has more than 100 households that have not yet handed over the site. At the Cai riverside road project, only the construction package of 5 bridges on the route has been implemented, while the road section cannot be built due to site clearance problems.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha said that, regarding the site clearance work for the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Project, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center has not performed well in the past time. The coordination between the Provincial Land Fund Development Center and localities has not been really smooth.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha requested the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to submit to the Provincial People's Committee a plan to implement compensation and site clearance for the following projects: Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway; Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh; and expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway section by July 28 at the latest.

The People's Committee of Tran Bien Ward coordinated with units to review and consider resettlement arrangements to soon complete site clearance for the Bien Hoa city central road projects and Cai River road projects.
