DNA test, girl sadly discovers family secret

The girl's life was turned upside down after taking a DNA test and discovering the secret her parents had kept hidden for so long.

A girl with the account "mybabylasko", from the US, shared her story on the Reddit forum with the topic "Your horror story from DNA testing".

It all started when her aunt gave her a surprise gift - a DNA test kit - during the holidays. Wanting to learn about her family history, the girl was so excited that she took the test immediately, the Mirror reported on February 21.

She then sent the sample for testing and anxiously awaited the results. However, what she discovered turned her life upside down and destroyed her relationship with her family.

When she received the results, she was in for a big shock: "I discovered that the person I had been calling dad for so long was not my biological father," she shared.

But the shock didn't stop there. She went on to discover she had more than 10 half-siblings. Her biological father was actually a sperm donor.

"At first, my parents denied everything. They thought the results were inaccurate. They criticized me for making things up, lying, and many other bad things. However, six months later, they finally admitted it. Since then, our relationship has become extremely tense," she said.

The story has gone viral and has garnered a lot of attention online. While many Reddit users have expressed sympathy, others have expressed suspicion that the aunt may have intentionally revealed the truth. They believe that she knew all along.

The girl added that her relationship with her father had been strained from the start, mainly due to his hot temper, which often included sexist comments throughout her teenage years.

But after all, she understood why her parents didn't tell her the truth. Her father's brother had been adopted. And she was sure that her father hadn't told her aunt that they had also used sperm donors to have children. Her father had endured it all in silence.

She also tried to find her biological father, but he donated anonymously and could not be contacted due to privacy concerns.
