TPO - The road leading to Ban Co peak (Son Tra district, Da Nang city) currently has many points at high risk of landslides, with large cracks warning of danger to residents and tourists.

Due to the impact of recent storms and rains, there are many areas at high risk of landslides in Son Tra Mountain (Da Nang City).

According to Tien Phong, after heavy rains, the road to the top of Ban Co mountain on Son Tra peninsula has appeared many landslides. Many mountain slopes have been eroded, rocks and soil have flowed down to the edge of the road, posing a potential danger to vehicles.

Ms. Le Thi Truong An (residing in Thanh Khe district) shared: “Ban Co Peak is a favorite tourist destination of my family and many tourists. However, after heavy rains, the road here has many landslides. Just a few more heavy rains, rocks and soil can fall onto the road at any time. Everyone should follow the warning signs of landslide risks when visiting Ban Co Peak to ensure safety.”

Due to the complicated developments of storm No. 6 (storm Tra Mi), many landslide risk points on Son Tra mountain are potentially dangerous.

Ban Co Peak is a familiar destination for many people, but with erratic weather and increasing landslides, the safety of passing through here is being threatened.

Authorities have put up signs warning of landslide risks along the road to Ban Co peak.

According to the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches: The Management Board has proactively placed warning signs in areas with high risk of landslides, prohibiting people from passing through to ensure safety. At the same time, it will remind vehicles and tourists during their sightseeing.
