(Dan Tri) - After the Paris Masters in France ended, the positions of tennis players on the rankings of the International Tennis Association (ATP) have changed a lot.

Alexander Zverev defeated opponents Tallon Griekspoor, Arthur Fils, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Holger Rune and Ugo Humbert to win the Paris Masters 2024 on November 4. This victory brought Zverev 910 points and the German star reached 7,715 points.

The 27-year-old German tennis player officially pushed Carlos Alcaraz down to world number 3. This is the second time in his career that Zverev has risen to world number 2, having previously held this position in 2022.

Despite usurping the Spanish star's position, Zverev still has absolute respect for Alcaraz. Zverev shared after winning the Paris Masters: "It's great to be back in such a high position.

But for me, Jannik Sinner had the best season, and Alcaraz was right behind with two Grand Slams. Alcaraz won Wimbledon and Roland Garros, very important titles."

Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev are preparing for the 2024 ATP Finals taking place in Turin (Italy) from November 10 to November 17. The two stars will compete for the championship with top players such as Jannik Sinner, Daniil Medvedev and Taylor Fritz.

Novak Djokovic has dropped out of the top four after not participating in the 2024 Paris Masters. The Serbian was deducted 1,000 points due to his victory at the ATP Masters 1000 in France last year. This caused Nole to drop to number 5 with 5,210 points, while Daniil Medvedev took the number 4 spot.

Djokovic is currently ranked 6th in the race for the ATP Finals for the top 8 players this year with 3,910 points. Nole is ranked above competitors including Casper Ruud (7th, 3,855 points), Alex De Minaur (8th, 3,745 points), Andrey Rublev (9th, 3,720 points) and Dimitrov (10th, 3,340 points).

After reaching the final of the Paris Masters 2024, Ugo Humbert made a big step up to 14th place with 2,990 points. The French player impressed when defeating Brandon Nakashima, Marcos Giron, Alcaraz, Thompson, Khachanov before losing to Alexander Zverev in the final.
