The first 11 routes in Ho Chi Minh City to apply sidewalk fees

On the morning of May 9, the People's Committee of District 1 (HCMC) held a conference to pilot 11 streets that are qualified to be used as business and trading locations in the district and launched the software "Look up and register for temporary use of a part of the sidewalk in District 1".

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Le Duc Thanh, Chairman of District 1 People's Committee requested the Urban Management Department and the People's Committees of 10 wards in the district to widely introduce and guide local residents and businesses about the software "Look up and register for temporary use of sidewalks in District 1" to help people look up and register for use, pay fees quickly, create convenience, reduce costs and ensure data consistency and uniformity; prioritize non-cash use and digital signatures of officials and civil servants.

In addition, the Urban Management Department coordinates with the People's Committees of 10 wards to continue reviewing and completing the list of roads and sidewalks that are eligible for organizing business services, buying and selling goods and parking vehicles with fees in the district according to the guidance of the Department of Transport to put into use. Periodically every month, quarter, year, and suddenly, there will be reports to the District People's Committee to evaluate and summarize the situation of sidewalk management and use, difficulties and problems, and propose solutions.

“The People's Committees of 10 wards must coordinate with the Urban Order Management Team to inspect and handle violations in the management and temporary use of sidewalks within the assigned management scope according to legal regulations, ensuring security and order in District 1. The Economic Department coordinates with the People's Committees of 10 wards to guide the arrangement of business, purchase and sale of goods suitable for each route" - Mr. Vo Duc Thanh directed.
