After waking up from a nap and being given yogurt by the school to eat, 15 elementary school students in Quang Nam showed symptoms similar to poisoning such as vomiting and stomachache and had to be hospitalized for treatment.

On October 25, according to information from the Dai Loc district government, Quang Nam, in this locality, an incident occurred in which many students of Nguyen Ngoc Binh Primary School (Dai Hiep commune, Dai Loc district) were hospitalized after eating yogurt.

On the afternoon of October 24, after waking up from their nap, about 300 students of this school were given yogurt and ate right at the school's boarding area.

About half an hour after eating, 15 students (including 11 fourth graders) showed symptoms similar to food poisoning: vomiting, stomachache, and fatigue.

Immediately, the students showing signs of food poisoning were taken to the Commune Health Station and then transferred to the Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital of Quang Nam for emergency treatment.

With active treatment by doctors, the children's health has gradually stabilized.

It is expected that some students will be discharged home today. The remaining cases, especially the two students with enteritis, are being monitored by doctors.

Immediately after the incident, Dai Loc district authorities directed the district health center to collect yogurt samples for testing and asked the school to keep all food samples from October 24 for further investigation by authorities.
