Information from Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company, at 8:00 p.m. tonight (September 29), Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir will open one bottom spillway gate to ensure reservoir safety and flood prevention.

According to the report of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company , at 4:00 p.m. on September 29, the upstream water level of Tuyen Quang Lake was at 118.86 m, the downstream water level was 50.20 m, the flow to the lake was 1,221 m3/s, and the total flow to the downstream was 579 m3/s.

Implementing the Inter-reservoir Operation Procedure on the Red River Basin in Decision No. 740/QD-TTg dated June 17, 2019 of the Prime Minister, Decision No. 922/QD-TTg dated May 14, 2025 of the Prime Minister amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Inter-reservoir Operation Procedure on the Red River Basin, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment ordered the Director of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company: Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir to open 1 bottom spillway gate at 8:00 p.m. on September 29.

To minimize damage caused by natural disasters, the Provincial Civil Defense Command requires localities and organizations to closely monitor the development of floods and storms, and the safety of construction works; move cages and rafts to safe places; strictly prohibit people from fishing or collecting firewood when the water level rises; and proactively take all measures to prevent and combat floods and rising river water.
