63 projects entered the Green Startup 2025 semi-finals

On September 11, the semi-final round of the 11th Green Startup Competition - 2025 opened in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of 63 typical projects from the Mekong Delta and Southeast regions.

The program is organized by the Center for Business Research and Enterprise Support (BSA), the Association of High- Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises in collaboration with the Center for Startup Support and Innovation of Ho Chi Minh City (SIHUB) , taking place from September 11 to 14, 2025 at SIHUB.

Among 63 competing projects, Ho Chi Minh City leads with 26 projects , followed by Vinh Long (16), Can Tho (8), An Giang (6) and Dong Nai ( 4 ). This shows the growing interest of localities in sustainable development solutions .

The projects are divided into two groups: Group A with 37 projects competing on September 11-12 and Group B with 26 projects competing on September 13-14. Candidates will present before the Jury , display their products and participate in debate . The results of each group will be announced immediately after the competition ends .

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's projects are diverse , ranging from organic agriculture , agricultural processing products , circular economic models to environmental technology and green services . The common point is the entrepreneurial spirit associated with sustainable development , effective exploitation of local resources and creation of community value .

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Vu Kim Anh - The Deputy Director of the Center for Business Research and Enterprise Support emphasized that green startups are not just a competition but also a long journey accompanying the community . Projects are increasingly linked to major social issues , quickly adapting to digital transformation , expanding e - commerce and effectively promoting Vietnamese products .

The organizers expect that from the semi-finals , many feasible models will emerge , ready to call for capital, expand production and contribute to the formation of a responsible startup ecosystem , making the green economy a driving force for Vietnam 's development .

This year's competition received 220 applications , selecting 118 projects for the semi-finals with the theme "Green Startup - Green Transformation - Sustainable Development". After Ho Chi Minh City , the next semi-final round will take place in Dak Lak. Lak (September 20-21) and Hanoi (September 27-28).
