Participating in this model, we find our contribution truly meaningful because the program is very close, helping us understand the circumstances of the people right in the locality."
It is known that Tan Binh ward currently has about 100 households in difficult circumstances. Up to now, the "01 to 01" model has been implemented for nearly 40 households.
According to Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy Ngan - Head of Social Security Movement, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Binh Ward, this model encourages businesses to allocate a portion of their revenue to take care of a difficult case in the area every month.
"When the Front launched, businesses responded positively. Monthly care will help disadvantaged families see the concern and have more motivation to try. The ward's goal is to complete 100% of disadvantaged households being mentored by 2026, although the plan is set for 2030," Ms. Ngan added.
The positive response from donors is the driving force for the locality to continue to replicate the model. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Binh Ward, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Tan Binh Ward, affirmed: "The love and care of donors is a great driving force for the Ward Front to continue to mobilize many other units to take care of disadvantaged families in the area".
With the positive values brought to the community, the model "01 to 01 difficult household" is expected to not only stop at Tan Binh ward but also spread strongly to all wards in Ho Chi Minh City as well as many localities in the country.
