For the first time in the world , a show featuring Ao Dai and traditional Vietnamese costumes took place at a concert by world-famous opera artist Miklósa Erika and the Budapest Jazz Orchestra at the Klauzál Gábor Theatre in Budapest.

This is a meaningful activity of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Hungary to celebrate "Vietnamese Ao Dai Culture Month in Europe" and Vietnamese Women's Day October 20.

According to a VNA reporter in Europe, the event was organized by the Vietnamese Women's Association in Hungary, part of the series of activities of "Vietnamese Ao Dai Culture Month in Europe" launched by the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe and the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe under the Vietnam Ao Dai Culture Association, to honor the beauty of the Ao Dai - a symbol of Vietnamese identity and soul, while affirming the proactive and creative role of Vietnamese women in promoting national culture to the world.

This is the first time a Vietnamese Ao Dai performance has been incorporated into the academic art space of an international artist's concert in Hungary, marking a new creative step in promoting Vietnamese culture to international friends.

The Ao Dai performance that opened the concert made a strong impression on the Hungarian and international audiences. The traditional costumes, the soft and graceful Ao Dai in the stage lights created a unique space of intersection between European art and Eastern culture, while honoring the elegant, delicate and confident beauty of Vietnamese women in the integration period.

Within the framework of the program, Dr. Phan Bich Thien, President of the Vietnamese Women's Association in Hungary, on behalf of the Vietnamese community, presented artist Miklósa Erika with a Vietnamese ao dai meticulously handcrafted by Vietnamese artisans. The meaningful gift both honors Vietnamese culture and symbolizes the friendship between the people of Vietnam and Hungary.

In an interview with VNA reporters in Europe, Dr. Phan Bich Thien emphasized: “The performance of Vietnamese ao dai in the concert space of world-famous artists is a new way to promote Vietnamese values. This is not only a cultural activity, but also a way for us to spread Vietnamese beauty in a subtle and effective way and deeply integrate into the international cultural flow.”

Artist Miklósa Erika expressed her honor when receiving this meaningful gift, saying that she felt the “beauty of the Vietnamese soul and spirit” through every detail of the ao dai, which is very graceful and feminine.

The Ao Dai combined with pants is modern, showing the image of a woman who is both traditional and dynamic, and she will definitely wear this outfit in the upcoming performance and cultural exchange program.

The event not only contributes to promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends, but is also a vivid demonstration of the spirit of deep integration, creative ideas and confidence of Vietnamese women in Hungary in particular and Europe in general, where the Vietnamese Ao Dai continues to shine, carrying national pride on the journey to position Vietnamese cultural values in the international arena./.
