This trader also confirmed that the upstream source of goods does not have enough to supply because this is a common "out of stock" situation. A representative of the Viet Tri City Market Management Board said that this is an item that does not need to be stocked regularly, so traders in the market only import a small quantity to sell. When demand increases suddenly, this item is also quickly sold out, especially at this time, it is difficult to get more.

Shops selling labor protection equipment on Hung Vuong and Quang Trung streets are also out of stock. The owner of a shop selling labor protection equipment for many years on Quang Trung Street said: "For the past 2-3 days, many volunteer groups have been buying life jackets to bring to relief efforts, so my shop has run out of them. The source of supply is also very scarce. This morning I was only able to import waist-high life jackets to serve retail customers, and now I only have 2-3 left."

Contacting volunteer groups that have collected a large number of life jackets, they said that these items were collected from many places, transported from warehouses inside and outside the province. Most volunteer groups went online, asking to connect with warehouses that still had stock to order large quantities or benefactors to buy support from other places to transport to bring to relief.

Most people are looking to buy foam core life jackets with prices ranging from 30,000 to 100,000 VND/piece depending on size. There are also warehouses and contacts that offer deep discounts or free large quantities as a way to join hands to help people in flood-hit areas.
