Tree planting activities to create shade are always carried out by officers and employees at the Bac Kan Province Social Protection Facility.

Keeping the environment clean is an important factor.

Over the years, the Bac Kan Province Social Protection Facility has done a good job of nurturing and caring for social protection beneficiaries including the disabled, the lonely elderly, the disabled without support and orphans in especially difficult circumstances. In addition, the prevention and treatment of mental disorders, the provision of social work services for social beneficiaries and the community have also been implemented by the Facility, creating peace of mind and trust for those being treated, contributing to ensuring social security policies in the province. To achieve this result, in addition to the dedication of the staff and employees of the facility, the environmental and landscape factors have also received special attention from the Bac Kan Province Social Protection Facility.

Up to now, the facility is nurturing and caring for 85 subjects. Of these, there are 33 subjects with mental disabilities, 15 lonely elderly people without support and 37 orphans in especially difficult circumstances. Due to the special nature, the subjects being cared for and nurtured all have special circumstances, are of many ages, many cases have to be cared for and served in the room, so cleaning, changing clothes, bathing, medical care, rehabilitation support are quite busy... so the amount of waste produced every day is quite large, requiring appropriate treatment solutions according to national technical standards and regulations on the environment.

Green, clean environment helps improve quality of life

Through meetings of agencies, youth unions and other forms such as facebook, zalo. The Grassroots Trade Union has propagated, disseminated and thoroughly informed all civil servants, public employees and workers about the contents of the Law on Environmental Protection, the harmful effects of using plastic bags, plastic bottles... Therefore, in daily activities, the use of plastic bags to store food has been minimized, and plastic bottles and cups have not been used to drink water. Instead, glass, ceramic, metal bottles and cups are used...

Currently, Bac Kan Province Social Protection Center has 11 housing areas with many spacious rooms, including 2 administrative buildings, 7 housing areas, 1 medical house, rehabilitation and psychotherapy training, 1 kitchen and dining room. In addition, there are also areas for entertainment and sports training.

To ensure the Facility's campus is always clean and safe, the Union also launched a competition between departments to clean and sweep, plant many flower beds and ornamental plants. The administrative office and housing of the subjects being cared for, the rest room for the Facility's staff, the kitchen, dining room, play area, and sports training area are also regularly cleaned, tidy, and free of trash and odor. In the production area, the barn system is built separately and has a waste treatment system and barn sanitation that ensures national technical standards and regulations on the environment.

Union members take advantage of vacant plots of land in the facility to grow a variety of vegetables in rotation according to the season.

In previous years, the road leading to the agency was still muddy, but after being repaired, the agency now has a concrete road from the gate to the inside of the buildings. The ditch and drainage system is also regularly cleaned by the departments to avoid the accumulation of mud and garbage. The walking paths in the campus are arranged with seats and trash cans at public places. The landscape around the unit is planted with shade trees, fruit trees and seasonal vegetables. Creating a cool green space and a source of nutritious food, helping social protection beneficiaries to be cared for, relax and rest in peace.

To prevent dengue fever which is showing signs of spreading in some provinces and cities, the medical department of the Facility has maintained mosquito spraying twice a year, at the same time propagating measures to prevent mosquito breeding, kill larvae, keep living and living places clean, pay attention to using mosquito nets when sleeping...

In 2023, implementing the movement launched by superiors and units to celebrate the country's major holidays, the specialized departments and offices of the Bac Kan Provincial Social Protection Facility have registered to work according to Uncle Ho on "Building a clean and green movement at the agency". Registering a commitment to compete in maintaining public hygiene, encouraging collectives and individuals to take measures and initiatives in environmental protection associated with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" as well as mobilizing cadres and subjects in the unit to do the same... and this is one of the important factors, positively affecting the quality of care and nurturing of social protection subjects, helping their lives to lessen sadness and open up a better future. In addition, cadres, employees and workers love and attach more to the unit as their home, promote a good sense of responsibility, and complete all assigned tasks well.
