Speaking with Giao Thong Newspaper, the leader of Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee said that the Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee has received information from Giao Thong Newspaper about some individuals arbitrarily collecting land and illegally opening roads into the unauctioned stone quarry area in Thanh Thinh Commune, Cho Moi District, Bac Kan Province.
"As soon as I received the feedback from Giao Thong Newspaper, I called the leaders of Cho Moi District People's Committee, requesting to check, verify and strictly handle according to regulations," said the leader of Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee.
Current status of illegal land collection and road opening leading to unauctioned quarries in Thanh Thinh commune, Cho Moi district, Bac Kan.
To acknowledge the inspection and handling in accordance with the direction of the leaders of the People's Committee of Bac Kan province, in the past few days, reporters of Giao Thong Newspaper have repeatedly called and texted Mr. Hoang Nguyen Viet, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cho Moi district, but have not received any response.
Previously, on July 10, Giao thong Newspaper published an article: "Bac Kan: The mine has not been auctioned yet but the land has been illegally collected and built roads", reflecting that right after the Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to put the Na Quang 2 stone mine, Thanh Thinh commune, Cho Moi district, up to now, this stone mine has not been auctioned, but Mr. Tran Van Hung, from Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province, has returned to this locality to buy land, mobilize machinery to illegally open roads to the planned stone mine above.
The incident has caused a stir among local public opinion, raising concerns about the transparency of the auction of mineral exploitation rights, which is expected to be officially put up for auction by the authorities of Bac Kan province next September.
