
Heavy rains have flooded 7 bridges and culverts, many places are deeply flooded, partially isolated, and cannot be used for traffic, including: Cao Su bridge (My Thuan village), Khe Bui bridge (Phuc Lap village), Khe Vuon Loi Troi bridge, Loi Troi culvert (Phuc Mon village), Khe Tho bridge (Phuc Lap village), Ben Xat bridge, Tran bridge (My Thuan village); Dam Bau lake (Phuc Mon village) is rising; the electric power line (Son Trung 2 village) is broken.

In addition, many areas of summer-autumn rice and crops were overturned and flooded. Some inter-village roads and bridges were flooded, at risk of being cut off. In streams and mountainous areas, there were landslides and flash floods that posed a potential danger.

Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Thuong Commune said: "In the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 5, the commune has been on duty 24/7, promptly grasping the situation, directing villages to monitor the storm's developments and reporting immediately when an incident occurs.
The commune has established 4 rapid response teams (each team has 3-4 people), the main means of transport are motorbikes, when necessary, specialized cars are mobilized to move to key points. The teams have inspected key points, affected areas, promptly directed handling and remediation.

At the same time, warning signs were put up and forces were deployed at deeply flooded areas such as Cao Su Bridge (My Thuan), Khe Bui Bridge (Phuc Lap), Bu Dut Bridge, and Khe Vuon Bridge to guide and prevent people from passing through.

The commune directed Son Trung 2 village to urgently fix the tilted lighting poles to avoid the risk of electrical safety. At the same time, mobilize militia, police and people to set up barricades at the traffic points that were cut off, and prepare rescue vehicles and supplies.
