Lang Son Provincial Museum exhibits the theme "August Revolution 1945 - The great turning point of the Vietnamese revolution in the 20th century"

Practically celebrating the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) , towards welcoming the 18th Lang Son Provincial Party Congress and the 115th National Congress of the Party . Lang Son Provincial Museum organized an exhibition with the theme "August Revolution 1945 - The great turning point of the Vietnamese revolution in the 20th century"

Exhibition space

The exhibition displays and introduces more than 200 typical photos, documents, artifacts and materials, providing the public with realistic, vivid and rich perspectives on events, characters, as well as memorable moments in the country's important historical moments. It affirms the stature, historical significance and brilliant milestones of the August Revolution in 1945 and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam); causes of victory and lessons learned; creative application of lessons from the August Revolution in the struggle for national liberation, national reunification as well as in the cause of building, developing and defending the Fatherland. The exhibition content consists of 4 main parts including:

Part 1: Historical autumn: Introducing the context of our country before the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam ; the process of founding the Party, the uprisings of the working class and farmers in 1930 - 1931, the democratic movement in 1936 - 1939 and the General Uprising to seize power in August 1945 and the election of the government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

Part 2: The power of belief: Introduces images of the two resistance wars against French colonialism (1946-1954) culminating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign and the resistance war against the invading American imperialists (1954-1975) which achieved complete victory and unified the country.

Part 3: Following the glorious path: Introducing some images of the process of the Party leading our people to promote the cause of industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration, successfully achieving the goal: Rich people, strong country, democracy, equality, civilization, building a prosperous, peaceful, prosperous Vietnam in the Southeast Asian region and having influence in the international arena.

Part 4: Lang Son promotes the achievements of the August Revolution of 1945 in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland: Briefly introduce some images of the outstanding achievements that the people of Lang Son have achieved in the cause of resistance, nation building, building and defending the homeland under the leadership of the Party. Focus mainly on the period of innovation in the fields of politics, socio-economy, national security and defense from 1986 to present.

The exhibition is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. Through the exhibition, we aim to affirm the great significance and important role of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 in the historical process of the nation; to propagate and educate all classes of people about the tradition of patriotism, the will to be self-reliant, the desire for peace; the achievements of the cause of building, protecting and developing the country over the past 80 years and the aspiration for prosperity under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. At the same time, we encourage the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of Delegates, towards the 14th National Congress of Delegates of the Party.

The thematic exhibition " August Revolution 1945 - The great turning point of the Vietnamese revolution in the 20th century" takes place from August 15, 2025 to September 15, 2025 at Lang Son Provincial Museum (No. 6, Hung Vuong Street, Luong Van Tri Ward, Lang Son Province).
