The program will be implemented from December 2, 2024 to December 31, 2024 nationwide. At the launching ceremony, Mr. Le Hoang Tai, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that the 2024 National Concentrated Promotion Program was built and implemented on the basis of creating a "special season" in 2024. This is an opportunity for all businesses in all economic sectors and industries in Vietnam to proactively build and implement promotional programs. In particular, the maximum value of goods and services used for promotion can be up to 100% depending on the choice of the business, instead of being limited to 50% and businesses do not need to go through any selection or review process of state agencies to participate in the Program. "Accordingly, businesses will proactively build promotional programs with diverse and attractive content and forms to provide customers and consumers with many opportunities to access quality goods and services at reasonable prices," Mr. Tai added. According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, to effectively implement the program, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has requested the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and centrally run cities, associations, industries, and related agencies, businesses and individuals to organize and respond to participate in the program. Along with that, launching the implementation of the program in localities nationwide. Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan emphasized that the national focused promotion program will help to maximize the recovery of the domestic market, increase total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue during the year-end period, contributing to maintaining high growth of the economy. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue in the first 10 months of 2024 at current prices is estimated at VND 5,246.2 trillion, up 8.5% over the same period last year.
