Previously, Vietnamese passengers wanting to go to Italy had to transfer through transit centers such as Paris, Frankfurt or Doha, extending the journey time from 15-20 hours.

With the direct flight from Hanoi to Milan, visitors can easily access the "land of great heritages", explore ancient cities such as Rome, Florence, Venice or the world 's top artistic wonders.

In the opposite direction, Italian tourists also have the opportunity to experience famous destinations in Vietnam such as Hanoi , Ha Long, Hoi An, Hue, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City,... thanks to fast and convenient direct flights.

“With its huge tourism potential and favorable visa exemption policy, this route not only promotes tourism but also enhances trade and investment. Italy is expected to be one of the important markets contributing to the success of promoting tourism growth,” emphasized Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines.

Milan is located in the center of the European tourist map. From Milan to Rome it takes less than 3 hours by high-speed train. The time to go to Florence is also less than 2 hours or 2.5 hours if you want to go to Venice…

Visitors can also fly from Milan's two international airports, Malpensa and Linate, to Sicily (Palermo, Catania), Sardinia (Cagliari, Olbia) or Rome, Naples, Bari in Italy in less than 1.5 hours. Or travel to major cities in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland in the same time.

By 2025, Vietnam aims to welcome 22-23 million international visitors and serve 120-130 million domestic visitors.
