Closing Ceremony of the Festival “Returning to the Vi and Giam region

VHO - The Festival "Returning to the Vi and Giam region - Connecting the quintessence of heritage" with many activities organized to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs being recognized by UNESCO has officially ended. The success of the Festival has contributed to spreading and honoring the quintessence of Vietnam's intangible cultural heritage.

On the evening of November 30, at the Ha Tinh Cultural - Cinema Center, the closing ceremony of the Festival "Returning to the Vi and Giam region - Connecting the quintessence of heritage" took place.

The festival “Returning to Vi and Giam region - Connecting the quintessence of heritage” takes place from November 27 to 30 in Ha Tinh city. This is a series of unique cultural and artistic events on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs being recognized by UNESCO.

Within the framework of the Festival, many exciting and meaningful activities took place such as: Art program "Two banks of Vi, Giam", Exhibition and performance of cultural heritage combined with tourism products; Festival of Vietnam's intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO and National scientific conference "Preserving and promoting the value of Nghe Tinh Vi, Giam folk heritage".

The Festival has the participation and performances of art troupes from Nghe An, Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Lam Dong and Quang Nam provinces.

With thorough and large-scale investment, the program has become a cultural festival, leaving many good impressions in the hearts of delegates, people and tourists...

In his closing speech, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh Nguyen Viet Truong, Deputy Head of the Festival Organizing Committee, emphasized: The Festival "Returning to the Vi and Giam region - Connecting the quintessence of heritage" is an important event for Ha Tinh and provinces with UNESCO-recognized heritages to have the opportunity to meet, exchange, promote heritage, and honor the fine traditional cultural values of each region. At the same time, it creates conditions for officials and artisans of the provinces to exchange, learn, and exchange experiences, thereby raising awareness and consciousness about preserving and maintaining national cultural identity.

Through the songs, the singing, the unique products of the localities, we feel the love for heritage, the love for culture, the love for the homeland; further affirming the eternal values of national culture. Culture has contributed to promoting solidarity, enhancing mutual understanding between localities and regions; enriching the material and spiritual life of the people.

Also at the Festival "Returning to the Vi and Giam region - Connecting the quintessence of heritage" this time, the National Scientific Conference on preserving and promoting the value of Vi and Giam folk songs of Nghe Tinh received the attention of many scientists, researchers, artisans, artists, etc. The Organizing Committee of the conference received many valid opinions and many solutions to preserve and promote the value of Vi and Giam folk songs of Nghe Tinh in the coming time.

The success of the Festival has contributed to spreading and honoring the quintessence of Vi and Giam folk songs in particular and Vietnam's intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO in general; thereby contributing to preserving and promoting traditional heritage values; promoting and promoting cooperation in cultural and tourism development.

In recognition of the achievements and contributions to the success of the work of preserving and promoting the Vi and Giam folk song heritage, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province awarded Certificates of Merit to many outstanding collectives and individuals.

At the closing ceremony, people enjoyed special art performances by units participating in the Festival of Vietnam's intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO such as Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs, Central Vietnam Bai Choi art, Phu Tho Xoan singing, Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, and Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space.
